About Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky
Although I'm originally from the US, for sixteen years I've been the rabbi at Beit Shalom Synagogue in Adelaide, South Australia. Now I'll be spending three months as rabbi in Birmingham in the UK, a place I've never visited before. And my Birmingham colleague Rabbi Margaret Jacobi will be taking my place here.
About Rabbi Margaret Jacobi
Rabbi Margaret Jacobi has been the rabbi of Birmingham Progressive Synagogue since 1994. Before retiring this June she is enjoying swapping pulpits with Rabbi Kaminsky and discovering Adelaide, Australia.
Before becoming a rabbi, she was a medical researcher. She studied at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (where she met Rabbi Kaminsky) and Leo Baeck College. She has a PhD in Talmud and loves exploring its debates about justice. She is also committed to campaigning for justice in practice.
In her spare time, Margaret enjoys playing and listening to music and spending time in the countryside.
